Garcinia Cambogia – Is it safe?

It’s not hard to know that you need to lose weight; the hard part is finding a way to lose weight that will work for you and not be harmful to your body. There are many products out on the shelves today that come with warning labels and sometimes just deciphering which side effect is less harmful or one you can put up with is harder than going to gym every day!

But when it comes to taking care of your body while losing weight at the same time you really do need to be careful and read the fine print. So finding a product that is going to help you with your weight loss goals but that is not going to do anything crazy like make your hair fall out or keep you away all night is important.

Well that is where Garcinia Cambogia comes into play. This weight loss supplement, recently featured on Dr Oz is simple, inexpensive and more importantly safe to take. The main ingredient of this supplement has been derived from a small, pumpkin-like fruit sometimes called tamarind.

This fruit has been consumed for centuries in Asian countries, including Indonesia. People there have been eating this fruit as an ingredient in curries and chutneys and have also espoused its appetitive suppressing qualities. But because HCA is derived from a natural fruit there are no known side effects but as with any supplement if you are pregnant or still breastfeeding, it’s always advisable to speak to your physician before you take anything like this no matter how benign it’s reported to be.

There haven’t been any reported adverse affects but again if you have other health conditions such as diabetes or even Alzheimer’s then getting your doctor’s go ahead is always advisable.

How do I take Garcinia Cambogia?

Garcinia Cambogia, or HCA which it’s more commonly called these days, is usually sold as a capsule and the formulations should contain at least 50% HCA. Usually it is recommended that you take the capsules three times a day, or about 30 to 60 minutes before your meals.

It really doesn’t get any easier than that. You don’t have to mix any powders, swallow any bad tasting concoctions or add hours to your day going to the gym. Just keep your bottle of HCA supplements handy in your kitchen and have another bottle in your bag or purse or at your office for lunch time and you are all set!

Some manufacturers of HCA do advise that it works more effectively one there has been some build up of HCA in your system – so that means you might have to take it for a few weeks to start seeing some noticeable results. We all know there is no quick fix weight loss products out there that really work but if you take the time with HCA you will realize your weight loss goals faster and that means you will be ready for next bikini season!
